Gas units are also suitable to be used in the rain and in bad climate. These units could carry weights roughly 15,000 to 35,000 pounds. Because of the maintenance and fuel costs, the gas powered units are more expensive to use compared to models that run on electricity, however, they cost less up front compared to the electric units. The liquid propane units are the best option for safe use in indoor applications.
Electric Forklifts: Electric lift trucks take batteries which need regular charging. Because these models do not burn any fuel, there are no emissions polluting the air with these equipments. They are the best alternative for indoor applications and warehouses. Additionally, forklifts that run on electricity do not require any fuel storage units and they are a lot quieter to run compared to other units. Among the downsides of electric powered units is that they are unable to lift cargo more than 15,000 pounds and thus, have a slower acceleration compared to gasoline powered models.
