JLG Telehandlers Texas
John L. Grove chose to retire after spending numerous years working along with his brother to build their crane construction company into a global leader. John as well as his wife Cora celebrated their retirement by setting out on a cross-country trip in their R.V. After that journey, JLG Industries, Inc. emerged and became the global leading maker of mobile aerial work platforms and specialized material handling machines.
John spent a lot of the time in the R.V. journey talking to prior business associates who the Groves were visiting on their journey. Tragically, while they were visiting the Hoover Dam, 2 workers were accidentally electrocuted on scaffolding. During following conversations, John saw a big untapped market for a product which can quickly and safely lift people into the air to be able to carry out maintenance and construction work.
John decided to take action when John and his wife returned from the trip. He formed a partnership with two close friends when they purchased a small metal manufacturing business within McConnellsburg, Pennsylvania. In the year 1970, with an initial team of 20 employees, the trio built and sold the very first JLG aerial work platform. Many parts of the basic design elements of that very first machinery are still being incorporated into the existing equipment
Ever since John L. Grove first drove back into town from his cross-country trip, the business has come a very long way. They have dramatically grown ever since their first aerial work platform first launched on the marketplace. Even nowadays, JLG continues to expand into additional worldwide markets. Many innovative machines are made to help clients be more effective and work safer.
JLG has remained devoted to being the leader in the business. The business takes operator comfort into account very seriously. They try to deliver in overall comfort and safety, as well as in performance so that the operator could be as effective as possible.
